Activate Turbotax with License Code – TurboTax is tax preparation software for United States and Canadian tax returns. The software offers a user-friendly interface for processing and electronic filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses.

TurboTax Installation Key Code

An installation key code for TurboTax is a 13-digit code generate by your computer. This subsequently enters throughout the TurboTax software installation process.
When you activate it over the phone, the installation key code is display on the computer screen beneath your installation key. As it appeared on the computer screen, make sure you said the computer key exactly as it appeared.

Steps to Install Turbotax With License code

  • Firstly You should be asked to enter the license code after installation.
  • If you purchased the CD, but do not have a CD drive, you may still use the license code.
  • It’s a 14-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) found on your CD box insert, envelope, or packing slip.
  • Select your operating system,
  • Now select Get Download.
  • Next download your software and install.
  • When you get to the Your product install.
  • Now let’s activate it screen, enter your license code in the License code box.
  • Next select Continue to complete installation.

Where To Enter TurboTax License Code?

Therefore, if you have purchased the Turbotax application, you must download it to your computer. The licence code cannot use on the online platform or website. You must download and install Turbotax from the official website in order to utilise the licence code, and a prompt will show up on the screen during installation. You must enter your licence code in the popup to activate the application.

Activate Turbotax Live from Activate.turbotax.com

To activate TurboTax Live Federal & State, plus E-file product, you’ll need the 16-character activation code (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that can be found:

On the product box insert; OR
In the retailer e-delivery confirmation email and/or account order history

  • If you purchase TurboTax Live online (not in-store) and didn’t receive your activation code or cannot find it, contact the retail company purchase from to request a copy of the activation code.
  • If you purchased TurboTax Live in-store and have lost your activation code, contact us.
  • Then Go to Activate Turbotax with License Code to sign in or create a TurboTax account, and then enter turbotax activation code
  • Even if you’ve already started your taxes for the tax year 2020, you’ll still need to activate turbotax code
  • Select Continue and then select your state.

Note: If you have income from multiple states, select the state that requires income tax filing. Make sure it’s the correct state, because you can’t change this once you start your taxes.
